This site will once fully developed cover my varied interests which do not have a site of their own. During the hiatus caused by these changes, much of what was on the original personal site will not be available, for which I can only apologize.

Douglas Holland's Aerospace Site
This covers primarily the non-professional side of my lifelong interest in Aerospace.
Although it hasn't been updated for a long while the Articles (in PDF format), Photographs and
even the lists of useful links continued to attract over 9000 Visitors a month.

August has man anniversaries of conflicts starting, or ending through the Warsaw Uprising, the Japanese Surrender at the end of World War II, or the invasion of Kuwait, which began what is now known as the first Gulf War.
But summer is here and instead of dwelling on War, this month I have chosen to cover, with two sites a British Isles Crown Dependency that is ideal for a break of 4, or 5 days:

'The Bargee' Statue, commemorates Sittingbourne, Kent's past, as the Town sits at the head of a navigable at high tide) Thames-side creek and in times now long past, Thames Sailing Barges would deliver and receive cargoes at the Town's Quays.
The High Street itself is both long and straight being built on the remains of Watling Street, the old Roman road from Dover to London. During the Horse Drawn Coaching era. the High Street was a rest stop on this route. Today the High Street is a one way and semi-pedestrianised.
