Whilst there are some historically important anniversaries in January 2010 including the ratification of the Treaty of Versailles (except USA), officially marking the end of World War I. I have chosen to celebrate the 350th anniversary of a man writing the first (known) entry in his diary:
The one day in February most people remember is associated with Saint Valentine on the 14th of the Month. These days any link with the Saint has become tenuous and: Valentine's Day has become the day on which lovers express their love for each other. It has also become extremely commercialised, and the sites I investigated were too commercial for site of the Month. So instead I have chosen:

April is the month when the Farnham Beerex is held and this will be its 34th Year! So perhaps it is no surprise that this Month I have chosen one of my favourite Brewers: Harveys of Lewes and used the banner image to Highlight my favourite Pub: The Red Lion at Turners Hill, which was my local for 28 years and the range of marvellous beers brewed by Harveys.

To celebrate their first fifty years, I have chosen one of the best known Railway Preservation Society's in Britain and the world famous railway that they run:
Although located in West Sussex, this is worth a visit from wherever you live in the United Kingdom.
