Founded in 1972 by the late Kenneth Watkins OBE (6 December 1909 - 13 November 1996). The Trust looks after more than 1,100 woods and groups of woods currently covering 190 square kilometres (73 sq mi). Nearly 350 of its sites contain ancient woodland of which 70 per cent is semi-natural ancient woodland - land which has been under tree cover since at least 1600. It also manages over 110 Sites of Special Scientific Interest.

The trust has also created new woodlands: which currently cover over 32 km2 (12 sq mi), including 250 new community woods in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Its largest current projects include the 41.7 km2 (16.1 sq mi) Glen Finglas Estate in the Trossachs and the Heartwood Forest near St Albans, Hertfordshire, which will cover approximately 347 ha (860 acres). For more information see the Wikipedia Entry: Woodland Trust

Bletchley Park is an estate located in the town of Bletchley, in Buckinghamshire. During World War II, Bletchley Park was the site of the United Kingdom's main decryption establishment, the Government Code and Cypher School (GC&CS) where ciphers and codes of several Axis countries were decrypted, most importantly the ciphers generated by the German Enigma and Lorenz machines It also housed Station X, a secret radio intercept station.

It is now home a museum covering its wartime role featuring the the machines/computers that made the code breaking possible such as a working Bombe and working Colossus but also the machines that the Germans used to encrypt messages, Enigma (including a U-110 Enigma exhibit ) opened May 2011 and Lorenz (which the British Code Breakers re-engineered the machine and called it Tunny - Museum Staff have recreated the Tunny ) and National Codes Centre

It is also the site of the National Museum of Computing (which was Site of the Month back in October 2008)
PLUS:
The Churchill collection, Bletchley Park Post Office, Bletchley Park Garage, Diplomatic Wireless Service, Home Front Display, Oxf. & Bucks L.I. at Pegasus Bridge (D-Day, June 6th 1944), 65th Nachrichten Abteilung (German Signals Group), Pigeons at War, The American Garden Trail, Projected Picture Trust, The Toys and Memorabilia Collection, The American Garden Trail, Model Railway, Maritime Display and that lifesaver for parents Childrens Corner
