June 2003
The Launch of Beagle 2 finally puts British Space Research back on the front pages.
For those who have been following the progress of this project may ponder the fact
that instead of
being a national effort, Beagle 2 was developed by a very small team,
with little Government help
and was effectively driven by one man's vision.
Compare this with the current NASA and Japanese Programs and one can only applaud
the achievements of the Beagle Team.
