This month, a return to a conservation theme. I have always been fascinated by Otters
(probably through reading 'Tarka the Otter' and 'Ring of Bright Water' as a child) and
I am always pleased when I see a Butterfly, even if of a less colourful species.
So this month I have chosen a site that combines both Otter and Butterfly conservation:

It is now 64 Years since the Battle of Britain was fought. Whilst enemies are now allies, it is important
that we remember not just the historical significance, but to remember those who made the
ultimate sacrifice in the defence of this country.
Fortunately we have in the BBMF a 'living' reminder of that 'dark' time:

SpaceShipOne is the almost certain winner of the X-Prize. So I have chosen Scaled Composites,
builders of both SpaceShipOne and its carrier Aircraft White Knight, as site of the Month:

If my memory serves, there has only been one year since that a member of the British Armed
Services has NOT been killed on Active Service. So I have chosen for this site of the Month an
organisation that cares for those who have served and their families:
